Montessori Family Space

COH family Space is a place where children can grow and learn independence. We offer various tasks that parents can complete with their children, helping to train different life skills. Through accomplishing these tasks, children build confidence and learn how to start taking care of themselves. It is wonderful to see them becoming more skilled and independent.

Montessori Family Space provides children with a prepared environment to explore Montessori materials. We focus on the developmental needs of the child, with guides observing and facilitating exploration during sensitive periods of development. We offer timely demonstrations of activities tailored to each parent-child pair and provide parenting consultation sessions. We hope that every family can slow down and experience the joy of quality time spent together.

Considering the interruptions caused by attending to the needs of more than one child when one adult is responsible for two children. Children desire to receive their parents’ full attention. These precious moments are valuable. Therefore, in COH family Space, one adult accompanies one child per group.

The Montessori Family Space provides a suitable environment and guides children in the “Montessori way.” Currently, we offer programs tailored to children’s developmental needs at different ages, known as NIDO and IC groups:

NIDO (0-1y8m):
Derived from the Italian word for “nest,” this period focuses on fostering children’s motor coordination development and sensory exploration. We provide a variety of sensory materials, music materials, language materials, as well as aids for walking and exploration of the environment during the walking stage.

IC (1y8m-3y):
IC stands for “Infant Community,” emphasizing the preparation for children’s sensitive periods. Through a richly prepared environment, including activities such as hand-eye coordination, food preparation, self-care, environmental care, artistic creation, and interaction within the child community, we primarily aim to satisfy children’s exploration interests.
